Fight Fire 03:58
In merely a moment life is changed irreconcilably. The lethal actions of a psychopathic minority. The rolling news reports the horrific devastation - In Paris, Tokyo or Madrid they are live at the location. The more they say about it, the more we're getting from A message more effective than a weapon or a bomb. You can't fight fire with fire; it's a lesson never learned. You can't fight fire with fire - it will get everybody burned. You can't fight fire with fire; you'll only serve to fuel the flame. You can't fight fear with fear - change the rules or change the game. For hours and days we see the headlines' domination By forensic analysis of their latest captivation. The more they make a spectacle, the more they feed the beast; Gone the words of peace and unity as the terror is increased. You can't fight fire with fire - i will just destroy you faster. Try and find a different path to minimise disaster. You can't fight fire with fire you'll only serve to fuel the blaze - Take the time to reassure and fight the fear in other ways. Take control of the story, light a memorial candle from the remnants of the fire. Don't fan the flame so it becomes humanity's funeral pyre. You can't fight fire with fire - it's a lesson never learned. You can't fight fire with fire - you'll end up with everything burned. You can't fight fire with fire - you'll only serve to fuel the blaze. Take the time to reassure and fight the fear in other ways. You can't fight fire with fire - it will just destroy you faster; Try and find a different way to minimise disaster. You can't fire with fire; you'll only serve to fuel the flame. You can't fight fear with feat - change the rules or change the game.

It's so very kind to give me your attention; I promise to spend it on something nice. In return I offer this fine invitation On which you cannot put a price I won't leave you disappointed, No I won't leave you at all. When the spectre of missed appointments Sees you lurking in the hall. Because when it all comes to nothing, You're as safe as you can be - Because when it all turns out to be nothing You can always rely on me. I'm the life and soul of every political party Where speakers corner common ground. My eloquence is especially when I'm in a park, And there's no-one else around. I' know what I'm going to say I've got my speech down pat - You may say I wrote this days ago, But I can't attest to that. And when I'm saying nothing I'm as clear as I can be; Because when it all comes to nothing, You can always rely on me I want to keep you from the Shocking and awful Rendering the ordinary. Telling of tales both frankly and lawful But never precautionary. I'm aware this all might seem a trifle hard, But I bear this weight on my shoulder. You may ask have I lived a rewarding life? I'll have to tell you when I'm older. I won't leave you unexpected - I won't leave you till I've gone. The experience collected Means we all can carry on. And when you're left with nothing, I'll have given you the lot Because when it all comes down to nothing, That's pretty much all I've got.

Of The Sea 03:52
And I look out across the rippling water Clouds burned away by the summer sun I see you reflected in the calmness and know Another season of warmth has begun Lost in our reverie Deep to depend Unaware that every Season has its end And I look out at the mists that are gathering Within the merest blink of an eye Life takes its turns like the rise of the tide as we Stand and watch another season goes by Lost in distraction Gathers the squall We take no action Until tumult is all And so comes the storm The waves crash like emotions Out in the tempest we try to survive Soaked to the soul, the hurt like the ocean Pulls me apart each attempt to revive And I look out at the stones that are scattered Matched to the horizon by shimmering stars I see you silhouetted in the darkness and know We'll never live another season as we are. Turning together Forgiven and foregone Prepared for rough weather So we face it as one And so comes the storm The waves crash like emotions Out in the tempest - the heart of the hurricane Soaked to the soul, the hurt like the ocean Neither of us want to go through that again

Virtue 03:36
24 milliseconds or 24 hours, That's all that lies between us in the time the Gods allow us. In the snap of a finger; in the click of a mouse In the tick of a clock we find connection It's a virtue - it's a shame. It's a miracle - I see your name. It's a virtue, loud and clear. It's a miracle - you're virtually here. 11,000 miles or 11 inches - That's all that lies between us and our existential wishes. Just within my reach - just within our grasp The precious moment of connection.

as/pi:re 02:03
It's a love - a cycle; Adventure we assign. Brave and tired - redesigned. Measuring, calling Gathering all in the graceful play. Spaces - to memory lane. The one creation set on elation Eloquence rival - to restrain.

Hey Hey DNA 03:09
When my feet hit the bedroom floor, just want to put you to my lips; Freshly brewed straight out of the pot with just a little milk. I could never ask for more to get my morning started right - not too cool and not too hot with just a little milk. You're my morning coffee. Push the bike back up the hill - take the bins out Sunday night. Pay the papers, feed the cat with just a little milk. You're my morning coffee. Life is just a rush, such a rush, such a rush. Just before I'm out the door and the workday looms in sight Enjoy the last of the cup that I've got with just a little milk. You're my morning coffee.

Yearning: Deep longing, especially when accompanied by tenderness or sadness.

Payin' anything to roll the dice....just one more time. Lord, please, give me what I want this time. It's always bad when the weird dreams are the ones that you wish were true ... I don’t know why they call it heartbreak - it feels like every part of my body is broken too. I want to wake up every morning happy. I want to live a clean life. I want to heal myself and others. Is that too much to ask? Please tell me I'm not the only one that feels this way. Tell me I'm not alone. Abroad, strangers first seem alike, and then strangers from home seem all known. Longing for the past is to chase after the wind. I have a tendency to desire the things that will destroy me in the end. For my yearning is want and my wanting is need. I don't need to feel better - I need to feel Emotionally crippled by your absence, I can barely breathe. Hanging on to my dear life, It’s only you who can heal. More love, less fear & violence - More respect & understanding I need a meaningful warm long lasting embrace With so much emotion you feel like you're flying. This is the touch of my lips to yours... the murmur of my yearning. All I want is to tell you how I feel and for you to want me just as badly. Will you ever leave my mind or heart - is that too much to ask? All my life my heart has yearned for a thing I cannot name. I want you to hold me in your arms and tell me that it's ok to cry. i just want someone who can tame and play with the devil inside me. Oh man. I am dying inside! All I want is to tell you how I feel and for you to want me just as badly. Will you ever leave my mind or heart - is that too much to ask? I'm wanting to be outside or at home today. I want nothing more than happiness, for you, me and everyone: Is that too much to ask?

Airport Way 03:15
From the motorway, gently curving down, Tree lined and host to spinning wheels. As I drive between verges worn and brown, I remember when some of this was fields Back when I was less aware of me, My capability green and so naïve Didn't know this was where I'd be - Didn't think I'd be so long to leave. The fountains glisten on the flyover; A plane takes flight into the contrailed sky. The trees and building seem so distant now, And here am I: On Airport Way. Ahead of me the airport overshadows Gipsy Lane On Airport Way. The green and concrete horizon gives me leave to remain The stories told from times that pass; The water towers on each side of town. The high rise buildings racing up, The pace where they tore the factory down. The vista changes yet stays the same, And day by day and year by year, Like the trees that stand and watch it all I find my way back here.. Hurtling over the river Lea, The cars snake up toward junction 10. The mist lies heavy as I wonder if I'll be back again. On Airport way - The first and last that most will see en route to somewhere new. From Airport Way. The pylons and the lamp posts couldn't have a better view. On Airport Way. To Hitchin or St Albans; to Riga or to Rome On Airport Way. I hope that one day maybe this road will take me home.

When I walk past the news stand and glance at the pictures of people they want me to see I turn to the cityscape looming to majestically. wondering what is this to me. So they build buildings taller to countenance all the connections by virtue to sell, While somewhere on camera, the vacuous chatter of a stranger with gossip to tell. The conversations as empty as the rooms on the forty-fifth floor. Fed by the wrong kind of plenty - constantly hungry for more. The glossy productions, the burnished constructions that pursue dominance of the sky. The shadows are cast by those who'd persuade us to wish we could all be as high. But the bright lights disguise that there's nothing - bringing fire to extinguish the blaze. Manufactured deceit of our yearning - the belief that the building betrays. And those who aspire to a vista, glass-walled paradise clearly defined, While they're all looking up to the penthouse, unaware how they've been undermined So I stand with my back to metropolis - face the glorious power of the sea, Where the skyline, expansive and open, leaves me nothing and no-one and free.
